Editorial Policy

This page states, in one place, who writes and reviews the content on adacompliantwebdesign.com, who owns the site, how AI tools are and aren't used, where our facts come from, and what happens when something needs to be corrected. The scoring rubric itself — the pillars, weights, and evidence categories behind every agency's number — lives on Methodology; this page covers everything around it.
Principles
- Accuracy first. Every fact is checked against a primary source before it publishes, including facts about the agency that operates this site.
- Disclosed, not neutral. We say plainly who owns this site and who benefits from it, rather than presenting the directory as an unaffiliated third party.
- No pay-for-placement. Nothing on this site changes because money changed hands.
- Correctable. A published page isn't permanent; a documented error gets fixed, and the correction is dated.
- Evidence over marketing. A claim an agency makes about itself is a starting point to verify, not a finished fact — including our own.
Who writes and reviews this content
Kaden Ewald, founder of Grow Wild Agency, writes and is the named author of the guides, profiles, and policy pages on this directory. His background is documented on his whatisada.com author page and his growwildagency.com profile.
No second reviewer is named on this site today. A “Reviewed by” byline is a statement that a specific named person checked a page before it published, so we don't publish one before that person has agreed to the role. Until a reviewer is confirmed and named here, no page on this site should be read as having been reviewed by anyone other than its author.
Neither the author nor any future reviewer is an unaffiliated third party. See the disclosure below.
Ownership disclosure
adacompliantwebdesign.com is operated by Grow Wild Agency, an accessibility-focused web design agency that is itself listed in this directory. No listing, position, or mention on this site can be purchased.
Grow Wild is scored on the identical methodology as every other agency listed here, from the same categories of public evidence, and does not receive preferential placement, a different reviewer, or an exemption from any check that would disqualify anyone else.
This applies specifically, and visibly, to Grow Wild's own entry. Wherever Grow Wild Agency appears — the homepage's featured card, a roundup, its own profile page — that entry carries an on-card disclosure identifying Grow Wild as the directory's operator, not only a footnote elsewhere on the page. A reader shouldn't have to leave the entry itself to learn who runs the site scoring it.
This directory does not accept payment for a listing, a position, or a mention, from any agency, including its own operator. If a future version of this site carries labeled sponsored content, it will be visibly marked as sponsored and will have no effect on any score, ranking, or listing status — sponsorship and scoring are never the same mechanism.
AI-assistance policy
Drafts of the content on this directory may be AI-assisted. Every factual claim — a statistic, a legal citation, a fact about a listed agency — is human-verified against its cited source before anything is published. AI assistance speeds up drafting; it is not a substitute for checking a source, and it does not get a byline.
Sourcing standard
Claims here trace to primary sources: an agency's own published materials, a government or standards body (W3C, the Department of Justice, GSA), or a court record — not a secondhand summary of one. Roundups and listicles other sites publish are used only to find candidate names, never as a source of fact. Every statistic on this site carries an inline source URL at the point it is used, and every source is dated, because accessibility law and vendor claims both change. One live example: the commonly-cited Title II web-accessibility compliance deadlines moved by a year in 2026 (Federal Register, effective April 20, 2026) — exactly the kind of fact a dated, linked source catches and an undated one doesn't. If we can't find a primary source for a claim, we don't publish it: we either drop it or, if it is material to an agency's evaluation, mark it self-reported and unweighted per the methodology. Where an agency publishes nothing on a given field, that field reads “Not published” rather than being filled in from somewhere else.
How agencies get added or removed
An agency is added when it has a public website stating what accessibility services it offers, and at least one category of evidence the methodology can check against — a deliberately low bar, since the scoring itself is what separates real practice from a marketing page. In practice that means a working website, a stated accessibility-related service line, and enough public detail — a standard named, a case study, a team member's credential — to populate at least one pillar of the methodology. We don't require an agency's cooperation to add a baseline listing built entirely from what it already publishes, but every fact still has to trace to something public, per the sourcing standard above.
An agency is removed when it no longer meets that bar, asks to be removed, or is found to have misrepresented a fact this directory relied on. Companies checked and then deliberately not listed are named, with the reason, on the list page itself rather than silently dropped.
Corrections policy
See something wrong, about any agency, including Grow Wild's own listing? Contact us with what's inaccurate and, where possible, a source for the correct fact. We verify the correct fact against its source before publishing any change.
Material corrections are logged where the change was made: the affected page gets a dated, one-line note describing what changed and why (for example, “Corrected February 3, 2027: HQ city updated from Jacksonville, FL to Vancouver, BC, per the agency's own site”), and its dateModified timestamp moves to match. Typo fixes, formatting, and other non-substantive edits don't get a note and don't move dateModified.
Update cadence and “Updated” dates
This directory doesn't run on a fixed publishing calendar. A page's dateModified — the machine-readable “last updated” signal search engines read — changes only when its substance changes: a corrected fact, a rewritten section, a new check added to the methodology. It never moves as a side effect of an unrelated, site-wide change elsewhere. If a page hasn't substantively changed, its date doesn't move, even if time has passed.
Flag something, or ask a question
Use Contact us for a factual correction or a question about how a score was reached. Use Claim Your Listing if you run one of the listed agencies and want to verify, update, or add documentation to your own entry. Both routes reach the same review before anything changes.
